Charles
Santopadre was born in Brooklyn, New York in 1928.
He studied at the Art Students League with the renowned
Frank Reilly.
A
prolific artist who is adept at working in various mediums, Charles has
created dozens of paintings, won awards for his watercolors, pastels and
oils and filled more than 40 sketchbooks with his original drawings.

Recently, he was awarded The Suburban Art League's Best in Show award for a pastel portrait of his daughter Cathryn, an Award of Merit for his painting "A Sonnet to the Lady with the Broken Nose" and an Award of Excellence for "The Girl in the Cardboard Tiara."
He currently resides on Long Island.
